Rtn A.H.M. Zaker was born in Bogra, Bangladesh.
A Biochemist and registered Pharmacist. Graduated from the University of Dhaka with Honours in Biochemistry and also completed Masters in Biochemistry from the same University.
Ex- Technical Director of GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Limited, a large Multi-national Pharmaceutical Industry, and is a member of the Board of GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Limited.
Presently CEO of RAK Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. RAK is one of the largest investment group of UAE. Also Director & CEO RAK Food & Beverages Pvt Ltd and Director RAK-MOSFLY Pvt Ltd.
A life member of Bangladesh Biochemical Society, Chittagong Shishu Hospital, Bangladesh National Society for the Blind (BNSB), Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Science, Nurture, Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM), Children Leukaemia Assistance Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) and Chattagram AOTS Alumni Society (CAAS).
A member of Society for Pharmaceutical Chemists, Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Society and various charitable organizations.
A permanent member of Chittagong Club and Bhatiary Golf and Country Club.
Presently Charter member of R C of Dhaka Premier. Past President of the Rotary Club of Chittagong Mid Town and was awarded “Gold Plate” as one of the best Area Directors,
Zaker is a Multiple Paul Harris fellow. In 1999, Zaker received Rotary highest award “ROTARY SERVICES ABOVE SELF” from Rotary International President, James L. Lacy for his outstanding services to the Society.
As President in the year 1995-96, he took the club to greater heights for which he has received the best club President Award, Club received Best Club award and several other district Awards for implementing Projects like Literacy School, Low cost Shelters, Vocational Training Institution, Free Friday Clinic, food for Needy etc. The Fellowship activities of the club were at its best.
Has served Rotary at various levels in the Club and District with distinction. Deputy Chief District Secretary-(co-ordination with special aides), Chairperson-Group Study Exchange Sub Committee, Member- Assistance to Clubs for Speakers Committee, Governor’s area Director, Asst. Governor, District area Director, Club wise Project Compilation and Reporting committee, District Conference Chair, Family Values Committee and disaster Relief committee for the Rotary.

Zaker is married to Jesmine Zaker phf, She graduated from Dhaka University with Honours in English and completed her M.A. from Chittagong University. She was a Senior English Teacher of Ispahani School and College, Chittagong and actively involved in various social work. Currently she is in BRAC University as a faculty in English Dept.
Zaker and Jesmine are blessed with two daughters, Shegoofta Zaker phf and Natasha Zaker.
Mr Zaker also visited most of the important cities of the world on business and vacation.
