Dear fellow Rotarians,

November of each year reminds us of the pivotal role that TRF plays in the scheme of things in Rotary and the need and inspiration of our involvement as contributors to the Foundation or as participants in its programmes. Rotarians from all over the world contribute to the Foundation and thereby support programmes through it in their laudable efforts "for the purpose of doing good in the world in charitable, educational and other avenues of community service". I have a delightful experience in noting this trend in the Rotarians of Bangladesh during my just concluded official visits to the clubs. Contributions flowed natually and spontaneously from them, and I am confidently looking forward to more generous giving by the Rotarians of the country by the year-end enabling their District Governor to reach the target or even surpass it. I once again appeal to you to fulfill your commitments and contribute early.

Development of membership is of vital importance for the enhancement of strength of the club and attainment of the Object of Rotary. Scarch of members, of quality and good standing, is a continuous process. In fact, it is ideally a search of quantity of quality while retention of existing members needs to be ensured. Growth is a key to survival and then success.

I call upon you to attend the coming District Conference in February for Rotary information, fellowship, exchange of views and ideas and festivities. Please encourage and inspire others, especially the new members to attend the conference. You will surely profit by attending the most important Rotary event of the year in the district.

I know you are busy implementing the plans and projects that your clubs took up. A lot can and should be achieved during the pleasant winter months. So gear up and go full stream, monitor progress, review performance and renew efforts. Cover as much ground as you can. Let us remember that we, as Rotarians, are pledge-bound to service humanity. And in service lies the future of Rotary and the Future of Rotary IS IN YOUR HANDS.
