The morning rally of the Rotary year launching was declared opened by the Hon'ble Minister. Ministry of Information and Cultural Affairs. People's Republic of Bangladesh. Abul Kalam Azad at 8am on the 1st July, 2009. He was accompanied by the Special Guest Abul Kalam Azad. National Commissioner of Boys Scout and the District Governor AKM Shamsul Huda.
More than 300 Rotarians from different parts of the country marched from the southern side of the Osmani Uddyan. It ended at the Scout Bhaban at Kakrail. The added attractions of the rally were traditional Tom Tom procession and hand parties. The procession was rounded off with breakfast fir all the participants.
The rally was organized by the Rotary Club of Dhaka Urbana under the chairmanship of Rtn. PP Mubassar Hussain They did a wonderful job.
